What Happens When You Delete Your Account?

When you request account deletion, the following will occur:

Immediate Actions:

• Your account will be deactivated and you will no longer be able to log in
• Your profile information will be removed from public view
• You will no longer receive communications from MyInfo

Data Retention:

• Personal Information: Most of your personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
• Listings: Your business listings will be removed from the platform
• Transaction Records: Payment and transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years as required by Sri Lankan tax and accounting laws
• Legal Compliance: Some information may be retained as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements

What Cannot Be Deleted:

• Anonymous usage data that has been aggregated and cannot be linked back to you
• Information stored in backup systems (will be deleted when backups are refreshed)
• Records required for legal or regulatory compliance
• Information that other users have copied or stored independently

Important Considerations Before Deleting

Please note:

• Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
• If you have active listings, they will be removed
• Outstanding payments or fees will still need to be settled
• If you are a Sales Representative, pending commissions will be processed before deletion
• You may lose access to referral rewards or benefits

Alternatives to Deletion:

• You can temporarily deactivate your account instead of deleting it
• You can update your privacy settings to limit data collection
• You can remove specific listings without deleting your entire account
